* In 2024, the Law Library cancelled a significant number of subscriptions for updates to print materials in response to shrinking budgets, rising prices, and shifting use patterns as students and faculty increasingly prefer online access. These print materials included important treatises like Mertens Law of Federal Income Taxation, Couch on Insurance, O’Neal on Close Corporations, Lindey on Entertainment, Patry on Copyright, Smolla and Nimmer on Freedom of Speech, Wharton’s Criminal Procedure, and other important secondary and primary sources. We’ve kept most out-of-date material—with updates ending December 2024—on the shelves dedicated to superseded materials.
